Wine Related Question Trying to determine the value of a french wine

I have a bottle of 1996 Chateau du Rothschild Lafitte, and was trying to determine its value. Can you help me?

A wine's value depends greatly on its provenance: proof of where and when it was purchased, and exactly how it has been stored.

You can check online sites and see a range of dollar values associated with this wine. However, it would be best to inquire at a local high-end wine shop or auction company if you would really like to sell it.

You can find 1996 Chateau Lafite Rothschild at retail in the US from under $1000 up to $2000 per bottle.
